this is the first stage of this piece..just using cobalt blue pigment.

for this stage I rolled up a warm purple and wiped out the areas of interest

for this state I rerolled the purple to add some density to the background

This image is the completed piece........I rolled up a yellow and red combination to give the purple some mass and contrast.........it had the effect of adding density to the background and bringing up the foreground material.......
